Q.If \(\sec \theta = \frac{x}{y}\) and \(x \ne y\), then which one is greater between \(x\) and \(y\)?

\(\sec \theta = \frac{x}{y}\) Or, \(\cos \theta = \frac{y}{x}\) The maximum value of \(\cos \theta\) is 1. Since \(x \ne y\), therefore \(\frac{y}{x} < 1\) That means \(y < x\) ∴ Between \(x\) and \(y\), \(x\) is greater.
